RESEARCH SCOPE:


           The primary scope of this project will be focus on early Muslim children included toddler that defined as being between the ages of one and three years, preschooler that as being between the age of four until six years and teacher that responsible to manage and monitor teaching and learning activities. 

AIM & OBJECTIVE


AIM:
Provide a portal base on edutainment model that will be an alternative channel or platform for teaching and learning.

OBJECTIVE:
1-To identify the requirement of portal base on edutainment model
2-To analyze the requirement of portal base on edutainment model
3-To verify and validate requirement of portal base on edutainment model

PROBLEM STATETMENT

Edutainment is a format of interactive entertainment that not only teaches, but also further ingrains the knowledge we are attempting to communicate through virtual world experiences (Confederation Studios).
Edutainment model is an effective way to enhance learning and teaching process. According to interview at NuH Ark’s Seksyen 7 Shah Alam, there are no specific portal of digital storytelling for Muslim history (Sirah) use to teach the children. Educational material should have different properties when used by children, by adopting Edutainment model on a portal it will be a new platform to enhance learning teaching approach.

RESEARCH BACKGROUND





Nowadays many interesting edutainment programs are offered and have been grown rapidly through the Internet and began as a new medium for learning. Base on The Free On-line Dictionary of Computing (6 NOV 11) edutainment defined as interactive education and entertainment services or software, usually supplied commercially via a cable network or on CD-ROM.
“The challenge to humanity is to adopt new ways of thinking, new ways of acting, new ways of organizing itself in society, in short, new ways of living."(Our Creative Diversity, pg.11, UNESCO). The combination of entertainment and education, this integration is mainly to create a motivating, successful environment for learning and place that asks children to enjoy what they learn with a combination of many media (sound, animation, video, text and images) by simply using a computer mouse to point and click on a particular picture, word, or button, and stories as well as information will come alive on a computer screen.
